ARLINGTON, Virginia, February
27, 2009 – Dr.
J. Davidson Frame, UMT’s Academic Dean, traveled to Beijing
to attend an opening ceremony for a cohort of Chinese
students who began their DBA study at the UMT. Dr. Frame
welcomed the incoming class. He wished students the best
in obtaining the knowledge through UMT DBA program and
to become global leaders in their fields.

19, 2008 – Dr. Yanping Chen, president
of the University of Management and Technology (UMT)
and Project Management Institute (PMI) Vice Chair,
attended the Forbes Leadership Networks Forum in
Boston on 19 June 2008.
This annual event is attended by executives from the
fortune 500 companies as well as other global business
leaders. The main topic of this year’s forum is innovation.

7, 2007 – Dr. Yanping Chen has been elected Vice Chair
of the Project Management Institute (PMI) for 2008.
She has been a Director-at-Large on the 15-person PMI
Board of Directors — representing over 250,000 PMI
members in 171 counties — since 2005 and is currently
serving her second term, which is from 2008 to 2010.
